The courtyard of the Pearl Street Inn was the perfect place to sit back and relax during the major power outage that occurred while we were in Boulder. John surmised immediately that the power outage effected the entire western part of the United States (I'm still not sure how he figured this out). Fortunately, we had our little battery operated television so we could sit in the courtyard and watch the news reports of the event. It was a rather warm afternoon in Boulder!
