(Widen up your window to fit two pictures across - it looks better)

Glacier National Park is actually part of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park that spans across the Canadian border into Alberta. The park on the Canadian side is Waterton Lakes National Park, while Glacier National Park is on the American side. These two shots are from the Canadian side...the first one is the famous Prince of Wales Hotel while the second is the incredible scenery around the Waterton Lakes.

After we entered the US again (no hassles at customs this time), we headed into the "Many Glacier" region of Glacier National Park. This particular area is amazing as 5 independent glacier-carved valleys converge on one spot. Here's two shots from that spot. If your screen can fit two pictures across, these 2 shots should give a decent panorama of this amazing area.

At that same spot in the Many Glacier area is the Many Glacier Hotel. The hotel (like many others in the park) was built around the turn of the century by the railroad for the purpose of attracting customers to take the train to visit the park. The 2nd photo depicts the scary reality of hiking the many miles of trails in the park...Grizzlies! This particular area was "frequented" by grizzlies...Yikes...Frequented!
