Not far from Arches is Canyonlands National Park. This area of canyons rivals the Grand Canyon area of Arizona, but is far less accessible. The 1st shot above shows the view from the Grand Lookout point where the Colorado and Green Rivers join. There are many canyons within canyons here, much like the Grand Canyon area. Also, in one of the canyons (in this photo) is the Monument Basin, which has dozens of monuments (steep vertical rock thingys) poking up from the canyon floor...cool! The 2nd photo was also taken at the same spot, but is looking more toward the Green River rather than the Colorado.
