Brenda's Impressions

The aptly-named "Inspiration Trail" on Mount Revelstoke was a great way to start the day. At the lower elevations, the trail provides a quiet and easy stroll through moss-covered rocks and trees along a tumbling stream.

We drove to the barricade on the Mount Revelstoke summit road. The road was closed because of snow; it was a warm day, so we hiked in the snow in t-shirts and shorts for about an hour. The views of the surrounding snow-capped peaks were stunning in the warm sunshine. The only sounds were the "screeching tire" call of the Varied Thrush, and our boots crunching on crusty snow.
