Here's a few shots of the Mount Rushmore Memorial. The 2nd one shows the rubble left behind by the blasting of the monument.
After seeing Crazy Horse and Mt. Rushmore, we toured Custer State Park. Custer's claim to fame is the wildlife in the park, many of which come right up to your car door as you drive by. The 1st photo above shows a Pronghorn Antelope, the 3rd Fastest Land Mammal in North America! The 2nd photo shows a herd of American Bison (aka Buffalo) hanging out along the side of the road. Custer State Park is home to over 1500 buffalo.
Here's a close-up of a baby buffalo. There were many spring-born calf's mixed in with the herd. The 2nd photo shows a donkey just standing in the road. These donkey's are notorious for coming right up to your car window and begging for food.
