Chiricahua Photo Album - Page 3

(If you can, widen up your window to fit two pictures across - it looks better)

OK, we survived 'The Thing" (barely).  Now we're back in Tucson.  These two shots are from the Tucson Botanical Gardens, a small quiet botanical garden not far from the university.

These two shots are from the Arizona State Museum on the campus of the University of Arizona.  The first one just shows the museum from the outside, but the second shot shows the pride and joy of the museum.  These are 10,000 year old mammoth bones (actual bones, not fossils) that have Indian arrow heads embedded in them.  Apparently the hunters either never found the animal, or they left the bones behind.  Pretty cool, huh.

And here we are wrapping up our Labor Day weekend with some wine and cheese out on our patio (at the Arizona Inn).  This second shot shows one of the many great restaurants in Tucson...Cafe Poco Cosa.  They have some very imaginative variations on Mexican food.  And the portions are huge!
