butterflies. 
Well, here it is, back to school time already and, like thousands of others, we haven't updated our page in a long time. Donna is back at work and Ralph hardly ever wasn't. We've had a good "Road Repair" season this last Summer, and a lousy mushroom season.
Because we live in Midland Michigan, we tend to experience 9 months of winter and 3 months of road repair. Nonetheless, when the ground is not permafrost, or snow covered, Donna and Ralph hunt (mostly with a camera) wild mushrooms, wild foods, wild flowers, birds, and butterflies.
We had started raising Monarch butterflies a couple of Summers ago, but the last few summers were too hot and dry for any numbers. But we have joined Monarch Watch, and started some serious tagging this fall.
Our greatest joys come via our family and our church family. Our daughters Kelly and Kim are both married to fine young men, and as of June first, 1995, we became grandparents. And as of December 31, 1996, Ilia has a baby brother!!!

Our older daughter, Kelly, and her husband, "Tractor Dan" have gotten their home page up recently as well.
We'll probably get back here eventually and take another shot at updating our own home page.
