With the need to revitalize the breeding program and needing some new blood into the kennel here at Inflight, I went to the 2005 National Specialty to look at the males for breeding partners for my bitches. While there, one dog I noticed was a very nice dog, Ch. Lorien's Late Night, bred and owned by Twyla Miner.  I went searching for more information on him on the "Net" and found her website, www.loriengsd.com.  I liked what I saw in his pedigree, and being the "surfer" I am, I scanned her site for information about this dog's mother, who's pedigree very much intrigued me! 

Viola!  I found out that she had bred this fine bitch to Sel. Ch. TR's Antonio, a really good moving dog that I had put up at his futurity in 2004.  I immediately wrote Twyla to inquire about the puppies that were just a couple of days old.  In February of 2005, I went to visit some friends in California and made arrangements to come and look at the puppies, as I was still quite interested in possibly obtaining one of the puppies.  We met at Twyla's club's weekly workout and I got to look at some really beautiful boy puppies.  "Marcus" caught my eye immediately.  Twyla said after I had looked them over and indicated which one I liked, that she has a suspicion that he would be the one I liked and he was available.  So, after we came to agreement, "Marcus" came home to live at Inflight!

"Marcus" is a very coordinated, smooth, efficient mover.  He has excellent breed type & secondary sex characteristics.  He loves to bait, and is half a "circus dog" with more tricks being added to his repertoire as I can think of them.  He has a great desire to please and learns very quickly, so I anticipate he will be a fun dog in other venues of competition.
