Only SSQC offers HM2 - the Hybrid Multi-Model, a unique, hybrid appraisal method that defines and correlates the position of an organization with respect to both ISO 9001 and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM). The results of an HM2 assessment are a plan and framework for improving software engineering processes and for implementing the requirements of the two models.

SSQC offers a distinctive approach to process definition and implementation and methods selection that supports the complete range of quality initiatives, from standards compliance, continuous process improvement, total quality management, to business process re-engineering. SSQC's approach is based on the fundamental precept that the success of any quality initiative requires that it contribute to the success of an organization as an integral part of the organization's culture and processes - not as an after thought, add-on, or enforcement function.

In all areas, SSQC tailors its efforts to deliver precisely the support required to help its clients build their organizations' capabilities. This consistent attention to organizational impact and attitudes is a critical factor in the successful implementation of any change.

SSQC's common-sense approach combines more than 3 decades of experience in the delivery of software and hardware in integrated systems with in-house experience in obtaining and maintaining one of the first ISO 9001 and TickIT registrations in the US. The approach has been proven and systematically refined in 11 years of assisting companies to assess their current capability and define and implement effective, efficient processes, whether they are seeking ISO 9001 registration, a higher CMM level, or a radical new way of doing business.
